Portugalo Fest is a new festival in Mississauga that hosted it’s inaugural event in 2022 and exists for the sole purpose of celebrating Portugal’s extremely rich and colourful heritage that dates back to the year 1139 as well as it’s culture that is a result of a complex flow of different civilizations during the last millennia. This event is organized by Portugalo – Portuguese Heritage Inc. an organization who’s Board Members are passionate about their Portuguese roots.

A showcase of Portuguese traditions, exceptional cuisine, folklore, talent, vast history and fun activities will be demonstrated through Portugalo Fest.

In its inaugural year this greatly anticipated festival provided its guests with a rich, dynamic, unique, fun and diversified cultural experience. With local and international artists in the entertainment line up guests enjoyed a free concert and some even danced the night away.

Portugalo Fest is also home to the Canadian version of a Lisbon Style Group Wedding where couples will be married in one ceremony and provided with elements of the wedding at no cost to them through an application process. This group style wedding was introduced to Mississauga for the very first time by Portugalo Fest.
