BraeBen is popular among locals and out-of-town players for its solid pace, good variety of challenges and excellent maintenance, providing strong overall value.

Beyond the playing experience, BraeBen – Gaelic for slope – is known for its dynamic terrain, including rolling hills reminiscent of the Scottish Highlands, which served as the design’s inspiration.

Courses and Ranges:

  • 18-Hole Championship Course: A challenging yet fun par-72 course designed by acclaimed landscape architect Ted Baker, players enjoy the scenery surrounding the well-kept grounds which span over 6,300 yards. Along with rolling terrain, the course boasts panoramic views from the highest point in Mississauga, 100 feet above ground level. The course’s narrow fairways make for an excellent test of precision while the hills make for a uniquely enjoyable challenge. Due to the hilly landscape, some golfers may prefer a cart to walking.
  • 9-hole par 3 Course: Perfect for a quick round or extra practice, this course offers a good variety of challenges for both novice and seasoned players, with holes measuring between 100 – 200 yards.
  • Driving Range: At the peak of the 18-hole course players can enjoy a double-ended driving range and a two-tiered bent grass tee deck. Driving range hours fluctuate with daylight hours. Players can rent rental clubs including a driver and an iron, along with small or large ball buckets.

    • Adult rates for the 18-hole course range from $36.06 (walking) or $55.54 (riding) for Super Twilight tee times to $75.97 (walking) or $95.45 (riding) for peak times, including weekends and holidays. Discounted rates are available for youth ages 17 and under, as well as older adults ages 55 plus.
    • Adult rates for the 9-hole course range from $36.06 (walking) or $55.54 (riding) for Super Twilight tee times to $75.97 (walking) or $95.45 (riding) for peak times, including weekends and holidays. Discounted rates are available for youth ages 17 and under, as well as older adults ages 55 plus.
    • From opening until May 31 and September 1 until closing, junior golfers ages 17 years and under play free when accompanied by an adult player.
  • Lessons:
    • Private and semi-private lessons taught by accredited golf professionals are available at a fixed hourly rate for those looking to improve their game with personalized coaching.
    • Golf clinics, including full-day clinics for kids ages 6 – 12, are also available. Registration is required.

LAKEVIEW GOLF COURSE

Beloved for its traditional feel, Lakeview Golf Course is grounded in history, including hosting prestigious events like the Canadian PGA Championship as far back as 1914. It was opened in its present location in 1907 and is now a designated heritage site. Designed by Herbert Strong in the classic parkland-style course layout It was recognized as one of the Best Municipal Golf Courses in Canada by ScoreGolf in 2023.

Lakeview’s grounds share its long history and are as much of a draw as the gameplay. Nestled among forests of mature trees, players find it to be a true hidden gem and an escape from the city. Just a short drive from downtown Toronto, it’s an ideal golfing getaway destination for those looking to walk the same greens as historic greats.

  • 18-Hole Championship Course: Surrounded by scenic parkland views, this par 71 course features an interesting layout spread across 6,344 yards. As the flatter of the two Mississauga municipal courses, the grounds at Lakeview are less strenuous for those who prefer to skip the cart rental and walk. However, the course itself isn’t without its challenges – so much so that the fifth and sixteenth holes in particular have been voted top favourites by GTA residents, per GolfNow. There is a small but serviceable putting green that’s best suited for a few quick practice shots before a round.

CPKC Women’s Open 2025

From August 20 – 24, Mississauga Golf and Country Club, the city’s premiere private golf course, will become one of only eight clubs to host a Golf Canada event. Mississauga will welcome the stars of the LPGA tour along with fans from around the world for an incredible festival golf experience.

General admission tickets provide access to the grounds with unparalleled views and an up-close look at the action. For an elevated experience just steps away, the Heritage Lounge provides access to an exclusive viewing deck situated between the 11th and 12th holes in the heart of the course.
